Terms

These terms cover your use of Highground, an independent pickup league for Dota 2 players in Europe. By signing in you agree to them and to the house rules.

The service

Highground schedules games, balances teams and hosts private Dota 2 lobbies through a bot account. It is free to use. Games are played in the Dota 2 client under Valve's own terms, which still apply to you.

Your account

You sign in with Steam. One Steam account per person. You are responsible for what happens on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break the house rules, as described there.

Fair play and prizes

Prizes, when offered, go to eligible players under the rules published for that event. We may withhold a prize from a player found to have broken the rules in the games that earned it.

No warranty

We run the league as well as we can, but games can be cancelled, servers can fail and ratings can be corrected. The service is provided as it is, without guarantees.

Not affiliated with Valve

Dota 2 and Steam are trademarks of Valve Corporation. Highground is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve.

Changes

We'll announce changes to these terms on Discord and on this page before they take effect.
